To the people who ask if / where / when they can watch the World Cup in Toronto:

YES YOU CAN watch the tournament live on Derby News Network.

If you're in Paris, you can also go and have a beer at the Moose, they should broadcast bouts live (to be confirmed).

Preliminary Groups

Below you'll find the schedule for the preliminary groups...

i.e. for Thursday and Friday.

As for the rest of the event... Here is a short explanation by Blood & Thunder... of which, to be honest, I didn't understand a word but maybe it's for the best.

"The teams in Pool A have 3 pool games that will be 40 minutes long. The teams in Pools B, C and D have 2 pool games that are 40 minutes long. After the pool play round, the top 3 teams will have a bye into the quarterfinals of the elimination bracket, the remaining 10 teams will play in the round of 13 with 5 advancing to the quarterfinals and 5 advancing to the first placement bracket."
