Paris All Stars Vs. Inglorious Bombshells

Paris RollerGirls All-Stars (197-139) Berlin Inglorious Bombshells
April 20th, 2013 / Wohnzimmer Bout II, Berlin (GER)

The scores do not reflect the game. It was harder than expected from a B-team (especially with lots of their players having their first go at bouting) and we had to fight against a strategic and organized opponent.

The game took place in the Bombshells' training venue and was private: only the people on the guestlist could come and watch. We had 200 pairs of eyes observing us, cheering Berlin. All but three little Parisian girls, supporting us with pom-poms and songs!

Kozmic Adventures in Wonder(eng)land

A 15-day trip around England. It all started with that game the Paris RollerGirls All-Stars had to play against Leeds Hot Wheels in Halifax on April, 6th. Then, I was just a poor victim of circumstances (pity me, please) and I got stuck in a storm of adventures which led me to travel England from South to North.

OXFORD: 100 JAMS WAR, THE REVENGE OF THE FRENCH

Fate had it that there was the "100 Jams War" event in Oxford the previous weekend.
The second edition was entitled the 'Revenge of the French' over the English who had won all the games of the same event last year.
It gathered players from all around France and from the South of England, dispatched in 6 teams and playing 3 games of different levels.

Starlight Express UK Tour

I did it!
I finally saw the legendary skating musical
By mere chance, I happened to be at the same place at the same time as the UK company. Our respective tours met in Bristol and I jumped on the occasion to go. With the friend I went to visit, we took the last two cheap seats that seemed to have an acceptable location (my bet) and I am glad we did, the view from the upper circle was perfect!
Originally created in 1984, the show has evolved a lot since then and has known multiple versions.
I saw the simple version on a common stage, with the rollerskate races projected in 3D on a big white screen. There is a far more demanding, challenging and physical version in Germany with a dedicated venue, specially designed for the show with a track encircling the public for the  race parts.

The show has been rearranged over the years, and as a result, its soundtrack is quite varied, going from cheesy pop-ish love songs, to funky disco songs, including rock'n roll, blues and even hip-hop pieces.
