SYNOPSIS: After a PILOT episode featuring the Cuberdonnas of Gent's Go Go RollerGirls, still under the old ruleset with a mix of players who are not (yet) used to play together, the real start is given in EPISODE 1 with the Royal Windsor Rollergirls, against whom the acquaintance with the new ruleset is harcore: we spend more than 40 minutes out of 60 with uncomplete packs due to our slow adaptation to the 'out of play' procedure.
That warm-up bout is more than welcome to prepare for a very symbolic encounter happening as soon as EPISODE 2, with the Nothing Toulouse who challenge us for the French crown. They have been training hard for it, the pressure is palpable but we manage to keep the title, a big relief.

EPISODE 3 witnesses our first away bout of the season, which is quite a challenge too as we arrive in Leeds with 12 players and no bench coach. It marks the opening of a series of outnumbered away bouts: EPISODE 4 in Berlin with 10 players and 2 bench coaches, EPISODE 10 in London with 11 players and no bench coach... the peak being in Helsinki for EPISODE 7 where we impressively play Kallio with only 10 players and nobody to bench us. We lose but our tenacity make us win the eternal respect of the opposing team. Thanks to those challenging experiences, our home bouts with complete rosters seem physically far less demanding, which is a big advantage: See how efficient and out-of-reach we are against Ruhrpott, at home with a full roster, on EPISODE 5!

Individually speaking, I also had the honor of sharing EPISODES 6 & 9 with the Quedalles, an instructive change of scene!

A season full of twists and turns, each bout being more thrilling than the previous one with very close scores, especially in EPISODES 8 & 10, against Team Unicorn, a bout that marks history being the first meeting of a French team and American players (which we win on the last jam!) and against the London Rockin' Rollers, a bout that ends with two tie situations and an overtime... with a one-point difference in favor of London. The FINAL EPISODE (11) takes place in Dublin and finishes with a flourish, a common trip with the two PRG teams, topped with extra suspense and a double victory on the Irish land.

We unfortunately lost several main characters during the season, Absolut Vermine #28, Cat Cholera #247 and Whisky Mamy #18. It is now my turn to leave the series. Let's make way for new characters to enter the plot line and give the cue to the superstars we've got here!
I won't be playing in SEASON 4. Still I hope I will be allowed to pop in from time to time and make special backstage featurings!

* Players rostered on at least one all-star bout this season.

  1. You will be missed, dear Kozmic. You made me and a lot of fresh meats like me dream. Thanks for the show. I know that some awesome "new" players will be in the Season 4, but still. Like in many TV Shows, one of the main and favourite caracters will be gone, which means that the show will never be the same (even though Derby is never really the same), and that the next season will still miss a little something... Best of luck for the future, I wish you the best, and I hope you'll make some new people dream like you did for us :)
