Freestyle Face-Lift

Having been sick for more than a week, I had no other option than staying at home, geeking. I invested the huge amount of time and the small amount of energy I had to fully reorganized my freestyle skating website. I had not touched it much since I had stopped freestyle, and the two-year hindsight was of great help to filter and classify the information.

At first I had started it for myself to list all the events I took part in, all my rankings and all the nice pictures and videos of successful competition performances. I am glad I did so: tidying it up brought me back into a passed chapter to which I willingly surrendered... and I relived fragments of it, with a nostalgic smile that would not leave the corner of my lips.

After one year, words are still missing.
I'll pay another tribute to Adolphe Huxley in substituting them for music...

Superman's Dead

Yesterday they changed my cast.
Three weeks already and only three left. I’m half-way!
The surgeon cut the old one with a drill and wrapped my leg up with the same baby blue resin bands from my hip down to my toes. MERRY CHRISTMAS! Loving my extra present.

In-between, I had the opportunity to admire my dead-white leg.

“Ch-ch-ch-ch-chaaanges”

My skin is naturally white but I discovered that it could get whiter than white. I won a couple of extra hairs – I’m not a hairs-lover but I convey it’s kind of natural after three weeks in the warm cavity of the cast. But what bothered (and bothers) me the most is that my thigh and my calf are missing. Seems that they took some holidays for the festive season. I am *not* OK with it. At all.
COME BACK HOOOME! [call of distress]

"Black Velvet, if you please..."

Words are missing in moments like these.

"After silence,
that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible
is music."

Aldous Huxley.

...In loving memory of Velvet Bagheera, 7.7
Who the fuck is gonna call me 'Evil Goblin' now?!
