After one year, words are still missing.
I'll pay another tribute to Adolphe Huxley in substituting them for music...

3 Stripes Challenge: La Main Vs. Adidas

There is this video challenge to win this undefined and unclear sponsorship with the brand. The aim is to prove that you have a great social network in enhancing your friends to go on the brand's website and like the video of your crew. The video with the more <3 wins.

As explained in a previous post, for the challengers, it is above all the opportunity to get free visibility and create a buzz.

I presented you earlier the western spaghetti movie remake "Le Ref Sifflera Quatre Fois" by the Paris RollerGirls, and now I am going to introduce the video of the second crew I am part of. No preferential treatment!

School's back after summer

First day, PRG Class picture 2012-2013 -- by Sally Broyeur

Some sing "School's out for summer" but we'd rather sing the opposite!
It is the start of the new season and we're all excited.
Proof here with the class picture taken last week!
Don't we look cute and disciplined?

3 Stripes Challenge: Le ref sifflera quatre fois

The brand with the three stripes launched a "crew" challenge, the aim of which is simple:
  1. Upload as much multimedia material as possible on their website
  2. Share them with as many friends as possible
  3. Make them <3 your crew's production(s) on the brand's platform
  4. Pray that you have the most views/likes to win an official sponsoring.
By lauching the operation, the brand gets new advert ideas for free.
By taking part in the operation, the crews are highlighted for free.
I am not quite sure that it is totally fair, but I guess it must be a good opportunity for both parts...

You have 15 days, starting NOW. Tempting, isn't it?

Like a hole in the head

Litterally.
My poor babies have a hole in the head.
As if they needed that!

They lived a long and hectic life full of experiences...

derby, dancing, bowl and ramp, freestyle slalom, street skating in various cities in the world... even did a zip line!

But now they are starting to show signs of fatigue...

Hold on guys, you have never been so close to your well-deserved retirement!

Put a Star on it

Simply wanted to let the world know
that I put a jammer pantie on my helmet.
Put a star on it for the first time since December.

Today. At last.

For the needs of a derby-style spaghetti western remake
(long story, might talk about it later).
Scene was written.

But STILL. Am Happy :)

My 2012 World Freestyle Skating Champ's

A short summary: judging, writing, sleeping, eating, judging, writing, judging, eating, sleeping, judging, judging, writing, etc.

JETLAG
After my trip in the USA for the RollerCon and the rest (here and there), I crossed the Earth to the other side to go to China. Do you know the ping-pong jetlag effect? From -9h California to +6h China!

from -9 to +6

Hardcore? Surprisingly not that much... Reaching a certain point, being jetlagged becomes a non-countable fact, period. You are not a bit or a lot jetlagged, you are just jetlagged and you deal with it. Especially when you arrive the afternoon before the World Championships of Freestyle Slalom and you have to judge them!
And even if you had to suffer a 23-hour trip with one train (Paris-Brussel), one international flight (Brussel-Beijing), one internal flight (Beijing-Wenzhu) and one shuttle bus (Wenzhu-Lishui). Alone.
Don't pity me on the loneliness though, I love travelling by myself. I was just trying to be pitied a bit more.

FMyLife #5

Surgeon: Unreachable since mid-July despite my chasing up by phone and mail.
Doctor: Stuck with a cast for two weeks and unavailable before the end of September.
These are the two only persons on Earth who can deliver me a prescription for my final three-week physiotherapy stay, which ideally should have taken place... right NOW.
If ever I manage to get the two-line letter with a signature (even a mail would work!) then I will be able to go to my health insurance fund and make my file examined (for the 3rd time -- yep, 3rd stay) by the official doctor who will consequently give the green light to the insurance to agree and bear the medical costs of my 7.000€ 3-week stay (hopefully) but not the cost of the transportation (for which I should ask my surgeon or my doctor for another prescription and bring it to my insurance for a prior agreement, without which I would never get refunded afterwards). Then, eventually, I will call the Center back, send my file with the paperwork, and wait for them to contact me and give me the dates when they have vacancy. FML.
